I...didn't mean John Watson the character in all iterations. I just meant I liked Sherlock's John when I started watching the show, and once I heard Martin Freeman say a lot of awful stuff I couldn't enjoy that character the same way anymore.

For the record, I don't care much about John Watson the character, so there wouldn't be much there to ruin.

Well, one thing I'm taking away from this thread is that I should never read any Freeman interview. He plays a lot of characters I like.

Yeah, don't read them. He seems to go out of his way to be an asshole. Believe in the Freeman Aura, anon, it's awesome.

I never read celebrity interviews - and although this kind of thing isn't why (really I just can't be arsed to care what "celebrities" think), it's definitely a side benefit.

The character John Watson has always been a little eh for me anyway, but the way Freeman characterized him annoyed me anyway. Such a pissy fellow.

I prefer Liu's sass or Jude Law's class.
