my boyfriend broke up with me yesterday. I'm pretty sure it's just a panic-mode snap decision because his reasoning is (because his work just reallly took off in the exact way he's always dreamed of) he can't give me all the time and attention he wants to and also give his work stuff the focus it needs

I feel like he'll wake up soon, realize he can balance his stuff, and come back begging. I shouldn't take him back because of SELF RESPECT, but I love him, so.

.....but what if I'm wrong :( and even if I'm right, right now I'm just miserable.

Can you tell him that? That sometimes one of you will be really busy and not around all the time but as grown adults you can adapt and deal?

I did. he hasn't budged. this is what makes me think more than anything that his brain is in panic mode, because he's not usually a stone wall of a person.
