I don't think that's vain. Nothing wrong with taking pride in something you're talented with. Also nothing wrong with being disappointed if something doesn't turn out as well as you'd expected. (ALthough I'm sure they're delicious!)

They actually might turn out all right after all. The problem is I made them a day early and it was like the lemon juice in them settled weirdly overnight and they crossed the line from moist to damp. I tried putting them in the oven for a few minutes to try to dry them out a bit and that turned out better than I expected (I thought I might just make it worse but I had the idea and wanted to try it).
