What is an unusual animal that you really want to eat.

I feel a little confused by this question: are you asking which animal do you *want* to eat but could never bring yourself to? Or what.

I won't lie, I'm one of those people who would kind of love to try human meat, just to *see*, you know? But I never, ever would--I'd be concerned about the possible health effects, and I really don't think I could ever feel morally okay about it, even in the silly alternate universe where I'm presented with this choice in the first place.

Okay, I've actually heard this isn't true, it's just that most societies that still practiced cannibalism when nosy westerners were around to ask only really had access to birds, fish, ... and pigs. People supposedly taste more like beef. I imagine it depends a bit on what you eat, too. Man, I wouldn't want to eat someone who only ate fast food.

I heard it's more like veal. I've lost the reference, but a guy once ate a volunteer (in the 1800's I think - I believe it was a British man in France) and wrote a detailed description of what it tasted like and what would go best with it. Long and short, it tasted like veal.

I want to try fried grasshoppers and Korean king squid on a stick (Wang Ojingeo) aka squid lollipops. Apparently they're quite delicious?
And yeah I consider squid unusual because I've never eaten one. I've had octopus rings but I don't think that counts?

I heard someone once ate grasshoppers and complained about a piece getting stuck in their throat, like a bit of dry peanut that doesn't go down all the way.

From what I understand, you can't feel your brain... but yeesh, still wouldn't (I'm not about to enact a Hannibal and Krendler scene anytime soon)

there are worse "eating animals alive" practices but I don't wanna squick people out :/
