Storms. Especially now that I live in Oklahoma where thunderstorms can become hail storms, wind storms, and tornadoes pretty easily.

I live in Iowa. I know this fear very well. Anytime there's a forecast of severe storms for our area I'm glued to any weather station/website I can find and watching like a hawk.

People have laughed at my fear of tornadoes. I say, fearing something unpredictable and unstoppable that can kill you and destroy your house is perfectly reasonable.

I've been through one and then some hella bad windstorms, totally reasonable fear.

People who laugh at you over that should look at the footage of the huge tornadoes that have hit Moore, Oklahoma in recent years, as well as the footage from that 2011 super outbreak that swept through the southeastern U.S.

Something THAT massive comes towards my town? Fuck, yeah, I'm going to be absolutely terrified. Professional storm chasers were frightened during those outbreaks I mentioned above for cripes' sakes.
