As unprofessional as it is, I have heard of some places that don't get back to people unless they get the job. I would wait until a week from the interview date maximum and then call/email to follow up with something polite like, "Hi, I was in for an interview for POSITION on DATE, and I was just following up to see if a decision had been reached."

There's nothing wrong with reaching out to an interviewer for an update as long as you're not constantly harassing them.

Thanks! I'm probably just going to try to forget about it, and if it happens, it happens. I already sent them a thank-you e-mail, so I guess it's out of my hands.
