That's fine. I silently judge you, for stating YKINMK and then judging people. You do realize that people can have a variety of reasons for wanting to write/read HTP? You do realise that people can write the "sickest", in your opinion, fics and have totally psychologically healthy lives? Some people are interested in the darker areas of human nature. That's why crime shows and documentaries about serial killers are popular. Game of Thrones is known for its rape scenes. OZ, in it's time was critically acclaimed and was known to be the 'male rape' show.

I guess what I'm trying to say that it is incredibly condescending of you to simply put it down to people 'getting off' when IMO, the psychology behind why people want to read/write it is far more complicated than that and doesn't make them "sick".

Even if it is about a rape- kink, you do realise that sexual fantasies about rape are common? (Particularly women fantasizing themselves as the 'victim'. In HTP, I don't know the particular psychology. Maybe it's Bucky being a stand in for the woman as 'victim', maybe the Hydra members are the stand in. I once read an article that said that when a man fantasizes about sex, he is both fantasizing himself as both the woman and man at the same time.)

Also, as much as everyone loves Bucky, he is a fictional character. He isn't real. It's not as though the people reading/writing the fics are going to then go out and find a man and then gang rape him.
