Mostly postcards. I always travel with postcard stamps and will get some cards to send to people (especially a couple of elderly relatives who can't hear well enough to mak phone conversations productive but who love to get mail). I usually buy some for myself, too. I've got a few of them framed and te rest I just like to flip through and remember where I've been.

Beyond that, I only occasionally buy other things, and that tends towards stuff that's useful rather than purely decorative, like T-shirts and other clothing, baskets, pottery, fridge magenets, and other housewares. I also like books about the place I'm visiting. Finally, I'm always on the lookout for art and antique maps, but that's not really for souvenir value.

I usually travel with my address book and stamps because I like sending postcards to people, too. It's relatively inexpensive and mail that isn't a bill is a novelty to a lot of people. :)
