Do you have a favorite word?
(Anonymous) 2016-08-23 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)Re: Do you have a favorite word?
I just like the way it sounds and is pronounced.
I also love Czech words without vowels (like smrt), especially when trying to get people to pronounce them.

Ethereal because of the way it sounds.
Also facetious and behoove because I have good memories attached to those.

(Anonymous) 2016-08-24 03:43 am (UTC)(link)I did realize though recently that I LOVE the word chassis, cause I only recently realized how it's actually pronounced. I'd only read it for years, so I thought it sounded like chass-is, and then "whaaaaaattt? It's 'chassy'?!!!!" It's adorable!
Re: Do you have a favorite word?
I have a huge tendency to use "probably" a lot, and a fondness for "notwithstanding" too, but I don't use it much.
Re: Do you have a favorite word?
Also PHANTASMAGORIA!

Coprolalia, or "compulsive use of obscene language". Lit. "shit talking" lol.
Also, arachnodactyly, which describes excessively long fingers that characterize a few genetic disorders. Lit. "spider fingers"
