I totally feel you OP. I stopped watching the show ages ago, when that Emily & JJ clusterfuck happened (I was already getting a bit tired of how half the episodes would be from the point of the unsub after a few seasons). Hotch and Emily were always my favorite characters. I loved their interactions... so even if Emily ever comes back, there won't be a chance for new scenes now (still would probably check out a few eps cause I love her).
I don't know how this show will fare without Hotch. I always thought him and Reid were the ones hardest to replace if they ever had to.
And still... he should absolutely be fired. Just BLAH.

Rumor has it that she's taking over Hotch's position. She'll definitely be in a few episodes this season.

Agreed. The cast shake up was so pointless, IMO. It got rid of two great team members and replaced them with one rather bland newbie who's there because... why? It's no fault of the actress and it sucks that fandom was hard on her, but Seaver was boring and her background was ridiculous. That and the change in writing staff was a turning point for me because I felt the show's quality took a significant downturn.

I love Hotch and think losing his character will be terrible, but at the same time I fully understand why TG has to go.
