That is some spectacularly bad timing you've got there. :( I hope all goes as well as possible. And I think you should report that cab driver later (especially if non-hands-free cell phone use while driving is against the law where you live). I would be willing to bet it's against policy. I'm a bit of a hypocrite since I do that sometimes myself, but I definitely get why it would make you uncomfortable and I also think it's pretty unprofessional.

Let me know what happens at the ER. I hope you don't have to wait for like six hours or something obscene like that.
