Not being part of either fandom, I think it's hilarious how similar the SU fandom and Bronies are.

Both have an alarmingly large number of (apparently) socially inept adults who claim to learn super important life lessons from TV shows aimed at little children, as if a tiny amount of human decency and sense had been absent from their brains up until the point they learned about it on the show.

They both have more than a fair share of harrassing, abusive assholes (though I'd even say the SU fandoms is worse by now) and can't leave the creators of the show they so claim to love alone with their entitlement and asshattery. Also, it's quite amazing that for shows that are both about love and friendship, large parts of both fandoms are constantly frothing at the mouth with rage and hate - it's bemusing to see how the messages of those shows completely fly over the heads of the people who watch it.

The only difference is that one fandom is overwhelmingly female while the other has more guys. Oh, and a lot of the people in the SU fandom are the exact same people who had nothing but contempt for Bronies back in the day (and probably still do).
