...Might be time to ask for a bit of a sedative from the vet. That kind of extreme anxiety (in humans as well as pets!) often really does need to be medicated or it can spark a sort of positive feedback loop that may lead to a disorder down the road.

Our dog is terrified of fireworks; we routinely dose her with "doggie valium" around the fourth of July.

(Two of the cat will startle a little, but the third grew up right next to Disneyland so she is used to it.)
