Re: What characters do you love seeing beat up?

ALL OF THEM????

but for real, the sweet spot is when they're not quite the *nice* characters (which sort of encompasses moral/optimistic/outgoing/sweet ?), but they're not villains at all: the morally conflicted, bitter, stoic, reserved, but intensely loyal/trying hard characters, I guess.

And, always men. For whatever Freudian reason.

For example, in the MCU I love most characters, but Tony, Bucky, and sometimes Bruce are the ones I'd want to see hurt. I love Steve, but he's too traditionally clean-cut and sweet for me to enjoy seeing him hurt, Nat is a lady, Sam is, again, too straightforwardly good and nice, etc. Tony's a bit of an asshole, Bucky's got mad moral conflicts and checks the reserved/bitter boxes, and the same goes for Bruce, though he ends up a little too close to the sort of clean-cut box for me to get as excited about him getting hurt.

???? An analysis?

SA

Rhodey is too good and puts up with too much for me to want to see him dragged into this nonsense. Give Rhodey health, strength, and success in a career that really matters to him.
