Leonard H. McCoy (TOS) and John Childermass (JS&MN) are my first instinctive reactions, and I think that's because they both have that thing in canon of 'stand there and grimly take it while practically bleeding defiance'. I'll also throw in Harold Finch (POI), Nyota Uhura (TOS), Klaus Wulfenbach (Girl Genius), Eve Baird (Librarians), Wonder Woman (DC), Susan Ivanova (B5), James Norrington (PotC), Merry & Pippin (LotR, I blame Two Towers), Eowyn (LotR, blaming Pelinnor Fields), Dr Schreber (Dark City), and probably a bunch more I'm forgetting. I have a thing for a) amazing badasses getting bloody, and b) the grim, fiercely defiant endurance of pain. So ... mix of warriors, people who are defiant in the face of capture/threat/interrogation, and the walking wounded here.
