Are you OP whose parents are moving abroad? If you are... you know, when I was in your near-exact situation, I ultimately gave up on the States and moved with my parents. It took a year or so for me to get back on my feet but the change was really good for me and I've been doing extremely well since. Just a thought.

No, I think that must be someone else? My parents normally live overseas, but they come back here every few years and own a house here. And what my job field is I can't do overseas.
