Hah yes, you are right. But she isn't 100% nice girl all of the time, especially when it comes to Tifa's feelings towards Cloud. I'm not getting into that debate, but Aerith does have a few selfish moments. It makes her human, not the pathetic!sue some fans make her out to be.

Buh? She competed with Tifa I guess, but was she ever really mean to Tifa? I didn't notice.

Not mean as such, but... erm blunt. One scene that got my back up (not quoted word for word, but something close) is when they're in the temple of the Ancients, just before you fight the Demon Gate thing (or just after... I can't remember) and it's where you have to take Cloud and Aeris along with you, but you get a choice of the third person. Anyhow, I chose Tifa and...

Aeris: *to Cait Sith* How about you tell us how compatible Cloud and I are together?

Tifa: ...

Cait Sith: *does his dance* ... I can't say it. Poor Tifa.

Aeris: No, it's okay, tell me. I don't mind.

So unless they got Aerith's and Tifa's names mixed up... but since Aerith does an action to go along with the words.

Oh, no. That scene is in there no matter who you take. I've seen it too, yeah, but I sort of purged it from my mind because I always took it as necessary dialogue so that you feel even worse when she buys the farm.

Also, I think Cait Sith is full of crap and Cloud and Tifa are more compatible any way you slice it, so whatever.

Actually, according to the ultimanias, Cait Sith does have a gift for fortune telling--just at awkward times (correct fortunes to the wrong questions, or questions that weren't asked).

I actually thought that scene was a mix of Aerith wanting to cheer Cait Sith up since he's about to off himself (not that it matters a few moments later, lol), and the other part being Aerith having an oblivious moment. No real malice towards Tifa, just a moment of tactlessness.
