Having to find some kind of moral justification for disliking a ship/character. Dammit, go dislike a thing all you want, but stop pretending that you're better than everyone else who likes it for some inane reason.

Also, people insisting that characters who don't present as 100% masculine/feminine must be trans and if you disagree you're transphobic. Do those people even know what a headcanon is?

Building on this, the weird insistence on finding some reason why your favorite show MUST BE progressive and ground breaking. It leads to so much cringey reaching.

Yup.

Me liking or disliking a ship has got fuck all to do with how progressive it is or whatever, I just like them and think they'd be good together. That's literally it!

(Same goes for shows/movies/games, it either appeals or it doesn't).

As a not-super-feminine female, this bugs the hell out of me. Basically fandom is saying that because I'm not the definition of a feminine female, I must be trans. :/
