Wow, someone who actually wants to live in Wales? That's rare. I've lived here my entire life, in a tiny village about twenty miles from Cardiff, and I'd leave tomorrow if I could. And, in my opinion, the language is pointless. You're highly unlikely to ever need it.

Sometimes it's nice to know things just for the sake of knowing them. It doesn't have to be useful. Welsh is beautiful and interesting, at least to my ears. What's wrong with beauty for the sake of beauty?

I'm a pretty cynical person, and having been forced to learn the language for over 13 years, I have an irrational hatred for it. And as for your question, not really. I don't have much fun.

What practical application does FS have to you, then? Do you ever read books for pleasure? Take a walk someplace just to see the scenery? Eat food that's more tasty than nutritious? Wear an item of clothing because you like it and not just because it prevents you from being naked?

I'm sorry that being forced to learn this language has been a negative experience for you, but it's not very nice to dump on the experience for someone who's clearly enjoying it.
