This episode annoyed me too, mostly because pie is my favorite dessert. It can be too sweet, true, but not if you make it right. There are ways to balance the sweetness such as mixing sweet and tart ingredients (strawberry and rhubarb together) or putting in less sugar if you are going for just sweet fruits. And really, so what if Americans like their pie sweeter than the British. Fruit pies are amazing. And different tastes are different tastes. I find a lot of British foods boring, and I mostly hate meat pies. But I don't go around insulting them.
