(Anonymous) 2016-08-31 12:50 am (UTC)(link)Like, even quite normal, mundane things - like, if it's some coffeeshop, and I like the way they do things, and I see some other places that are doing stuff similarly, and I'm like, "Oh, that's cool", and I go about my day, right? And then someone says, "Oh that kind of coffeeshop is really trendy." And it feels so strange because it's like, here I was thinking that I thought I liked for specific, everyday reasons. But clearly I was caught up in some larger wave - clearly there was some other phenomenon at work here, some other kind of explanation, that I missed, and I was deluded in the reasons that I thought I liked it. It's weird and insidious and it makes me feel weird.
Am I crazy for this?
