The one and only reason to ever play a video game is to have fun. If you're not having fun playing a video game, you're doing it wrong, and so is anyone who thinks you need to do anything other than have fun when playing a video game.

But I do think people like reviewers do need to play them, even if they don't have fun, and I don't think I would say they are doing it wrong.
