Re: What is the worst way you've woken up?

Two months ago, I woke up crying because I dreamt I'd been forced to kill my brother. It was pretty damn awful, because it was one of those dreams that took a while to shake off.

And when I was younger and still in school, I got woken up just about every day to every other day by an emergency service at around 4-5 am. My grandfather had some sort of emergency button that had to be pressed every day before a certain time to signal he was still alive and if he didn't, it triggered an alarm. Which made the emergency service in charge of it phone us because he was living next door and tell us they hadn't received the alarm and we should go check on him.
So I got woken up several times a week thinking my grandfather could have died.

I've had a couple dreams that woke me up crying. There is one that still gives me shivers when I think about it.

Huh. I've never heard of that kind of system. Is it something you have to buy yourself?

I'm not sure if it exists in the US - it's something like this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_alarm

You can get these for yourself here from certain emergency services who also monitor them. It is actually a pretty good thing provided the person in question doesn't constantly forget to push the button (or misplaces it).
