I just watched the first ep of "Stranger Things". Not too shabby.

I recently discovered a podcast called You Must Remember This. http://www.youmustrememberthispodcast.com/

It is about Hollywood in the 20th century. I listened to her season on Charles Manson's Hollywood and was blown away. I am not listening to her season on the Blacklist.

It is awesome because she takes one topic, such a Charles Manson. And uses that common thread of talk about all kinds of things. Like, she had a whole episode just on Sharon Tate's past (that barely mentioned Manson). In regards to the Manson season, I am amazed by how many celebrities were directly and indirectly caught up in his whole thing.

I love You Must Remember This! The Charles Manson series was really disturbing, and I liked (that seems like the wrong word... appreciated?) that Karina even got a little choked up when describing Sharon Tate's murder.

Probably a good choice not to listen to the Blacklist season though. It's not bad, but it's just pretty boring compared to Manson's Hollywood and MGM Stories.

I'll end up listening to them all, tbh. I listen to a lot of podcasts at work. But I am glad to hear the MGM one would be something to look forward to!

That's how I listen to them too! I think the biggest problem with the Blacklist series is that a lot of it is repeats of old episodes... and while that isn't so bad when you've been a fan since day one, it's pretty annoying when you've marathoned the series for a week or so and get excited to see a new episode, only to find out it's a repeat. :(

I've fairly recently discovered the music of LP and I'm very into it.

No, adding two words that aren't there and ignoring the capitalized series of words - a standard for titles - makes it read like that.

The commas made it difficult to parse as a title, at least for me.
One of those sentences where you have to really think about it to figure out what it's trying to say, basically. As opposed to glancing at it to get the gist, which is good enough for most comments.

Sorry, I was on my phone, which is just never good for copying anything. The anon who gave a link was correct, though I'm not sure why they were being such a jerk about it.

No worries. I can't imagine doing anything like LJ/DW on my phone, it would drive me nuts. Texting is bad enough.

I really disliked the OC but other than that it was pretty ok

That Amy character? Yeah, apparently she's some OC from a different story that author did, and pretty much nobody who's mentioned her in the comments I've seen for this so far has liked her.

I watched How I Live Now. I ended up really liking it.

It's not as great as everyone claims it is. It's just okay.

Not fandom related but I came across an insect that I didn't know existed.

I was watching these swallowtail butterflies fluttering around this one large shrub and then there was this other bug. I almost thought it was a bee at first cause it was fuzzy and black and yellow, but then I realized it was too big to be a bee and the way it moved it looked like a humming bird and I thought I saw a beak, but then I saw antenna.
