Hot drawing styles

(Anonymous) 2016-09-06 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I've noticed that some drawing styles are a turn off when used to draw 'hot' people or erotic stuff. I think I've seen other people express similar thoughts.

But I've also found that certain styles can be very good for that, and tend to make people look more attractive and therefore make sexy art more appealing.

If you're looking at erotic art, what drawing styles do you prefer?

I like a kind of messy, sketchy style? Sometimes people draw porn with these intensely clean lines and shiny people and it's kind of overwhelming.

+1. I'm not sure why, but I think it's because it leaves a little more to the imagination for me? Like with the clean lines/shiny people pictures, I feel there's no mystery, like, "Oh look, there's people fucking." Plus the messy/sketchy style seems less clinical and like it has more ~passion.

I like stuff that gives a sense of mass and firmness to the bodies, as if they're real people whose shapes have been recreated. Rodin was great at this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kiss_(Rodin_sculpture)
