*high five*

I'm an adult by all means and I can do what the fuck I want, but I was the little nerd girl in elementary playing Pokemon and such, and pretty much remained a geek throughout high school. I wasn't exactly bullied, but I always felt ashamed - like, I'd get super anxious about hiding it and trying to be "normal". It's dumb as fuck but while I didn't regret my interests, I really was afraid of being judged for them, far disproportional to what I actually was.

I think it's fucking awesome that geek is becoming more chic, and stuff like this is out in the open. Why in the world would you want more persecution just so you can be elite about your hobbies?

Some people are really attached to their victim status.
