If someone who used to pick on my for liking fanfiction came to love fanfiction too (and weren't super judgey about some things) I'd be thrilled to be able to talk to them about it.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-07 04:09 am (UTC)(link)I was ostracized by my "friends" in high school for liking a video game. They basically ignored me in conversations, whether or not I talked about my hobby. (As an extra note: their hobby, which was anime, was A-OK though! If you didn't like anime, you were a freak!) Fast forward to university and suddenly the same people LOVED the game. One of them even had the nerve to say to me, "Why didn't you get us into it sooner?" and all I could think was, don't you remember how badly you guys treated me back then? Seems like some bullies have selective memories.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-07 11:17 am (UTC)(link)maybe tell your "friends" how their behavior made you feel and move on if they fail to apologize
and if they do apologize, great, now you have people to geek out with
