I guess it depends on how they go about it but...if someone comes to genuinely love something they once mocked others for liking that's not shitty that's awesome.

If someone who used to pick on my for liking fanfiction came to love fanfiction too (and weren't super judgey about some things) I'd be thrilled to be able to talk to them about it.

If the bullies in question gave you a lot of grief for your hobby, would you still be able to forgive and forget?

I was ostracized by my "friends" in high school for liking a video game. They basically ignored me in conversations, whether or not I talked about my hobby. (As an extra note: their hobby, which was anime, was A-OK though! If you didn't like anime, you were a freak!) Fast forward to university and suddenly the same people LOVED the game. One of them even had the nerve to say to me, "Why didn't you get us into it sooner?" and all I could think was, don't you remember how badly you guys treated me back then? Seems like some bullies have selective memories.

so be mad at shitty people being shitty? don't be mad cuz now they like the same stuff as you

maybe tell your "friends" how their behavior made you feel and move on if they fail to apologize
and if they do apologize, great, now you have people to geek out with
