I was never interested in shipping them, but at first I was interested in their friendship or mentor/mentee thing they kinda had going. But it became pretty apparent that Walt is honestly the worst thing that has ever happened to Jesse and his manipulation and abuse of Jesse is awful. It's an interesting development to watch though, and I'm sure you'll have more thoughts on it when you finish the series.

Breaking Bad is one of my favorite shows, but I seriously side-eye anyone who says Walt is their favorite character. Which an alarming number of people do.

you... side-eye them? Lol. People aren't allowed to have favorite characters who are villains, now?

Why the side-eye? Having someone as a favorite character doesn't mean you think they're the most likable person on the show or that you'd want to be friends with them in real life. Walt's probably my favorite character because the whole arc of the show revolves around him and because Bryan Cranston is absolutely amazing at what he does but I still thought Walt was an awful person and I thought he deserved to pay for everything he did in the series.
