Mairon/Aule. No. Just no. I see their relationship as parent/child, so shipping them is really squicky to me (and yes, I've run across at least 2 fics).

Maedhros/Maglor before Fingon's death. Maedhros/Fingon is firm in my mind until Fingon's death. Also, any healthy version of Maedhros/Maglor. I ship it, but I want it unhealthy with two very damaged people clinging to the only person they have left.

Celebrimbor/Maglor. This only became a NOTP because it is strangely popular and I just don't get it. Plus, I really don't like Maglor.

Celeborn and Galadriel paired with anyone but each other (except I'm okay with Sauron being attracted to her as long as it is one-sided). They are a firm OTP for me and I can't see either of them loving anyone else.

Celebrimbor/Maglor is something that happens? I feel like I need to ask if people who ship that remember they're uncle and nephew, but I really have no right to nitpick because I have no problem with incest ships, including at least one Uncle/Nephew pairing and pseudo-Aunt/Nephew pairing between OCs.

That then brings up another question for me, how the hell would Celebrimbor and Maeglin meet? Celebrinbor lived in Nargothrond, presumably ending up on Balar after it's fall, while Maeglin's father hated Celebrimbor's family, and after Maeglin left Nan Elmoth, he went to Goldolin, and ended up being killed after his betrayal of the city.

All I can think is an AU scenario where Maeglin lives. Frankly Celebrimbor/Maglor was more believable, even with the Uncle/Nephew issue.
