lol I forgot how much I hated Elena/Danny. I liked both characters by themselves but their romance was just...ugh.

Agree on Sara/Grissom and Beleg/Turin. Ugh, Turin. Beleg deserves so much better. And Sara and Grissom just don't work together at all. Also agree with Kili/Anyone. Not necessarily a NOTP per say, but I'm just not interested in his character or reading about him. Sure he's hot in the movies, but that's about it. And none of the dwarves really interest me in the books besides maybe Balin and Gloin.

I heartiy agree on Legolas/Gimli, I tend to avoid Turin all together, but I suspect if I reread his story I'd hate that pairing.
Celebrimbor/Sauron is a pairing I think could have happened... but I don't like it.
Galadriel/Gandalf was something the Hobbit movies made people think of but I have come to a stage where I don't like to break up canon couples, so even though I'm not a fan of Galadriel and Celeborn... they're married, and I don't care to break it up.

My headcanon of Kili is a lot more mature than he was in the movies.

People who have been brainwashed being shipped squicks me a lot. So those are my NOtps. Widowmaker/Tracer is the biggest rn, bc of that.

SAME. Not to be morbid, but I'm always thinking, "That's not a person. It's a body, but it's not a person when you've fucked with their personality."

Basically any pairing where they get thrown together for the aesthetic. There have got to be some sort of canon hints that you can read between the lines in order to make the pair work.

Destiel (I used to kind of ship it but eventually started flat out hating it and the shippers haven't helped)

Batman/Joker (it's one of the only pairings to genuinely squick me out)

my NOTPs are all about the pairing's interpretation of my favorite character who's part of it.

the last one I felt strongly about was Sollux/Eridan. most shippers managed to blame Sollux for defending himself against Nice Guy Eridan who picked the fights. just to give Sollux as love interest trophy to the guy because even they couldn't rationalize fluffy Eridan/Feferi.

I don't know if I have a type or not...it kind of takes a lot to "meh" me to the point of calling it a true NOTP. Let's see if there's any pattern:

Jade/Anise, Jade/Dist, Guy/Luke (Tales of the Abyss)
Lloyd/Colette (Tales of Symphonia)
Akihiko/Mitsuru (Persona 3)
Mycroft/Sherlock (Sherlock Holmes, any iteration at all)
Skinner/Scully (The X-Files)
Cloud/Tifa (Final Fantasy VII)
Sisko/Dax (Star Trek: DS9)

So I guess my NOTPs are...mostly pairings that I think have more family-style relationships so I feel awkward seeing them romantically/sexually shipped? Haha, that's funny because I have several LEGITIMATE INCEST SHIPS. The only one that isn't family-ish that I just really don't like is Jade/Dist, and that's mostly because I feel like there's just waaaaay too much that's gone wrong between them to be anything good.

Mairon/Aule. No. Just no. I see their relationship as parent/child, so shipping them is really squicky to me (and yes, I've run across at least 2 fics).

Maedhros/Maglor before Fingon's death. Maedhros/Fingon is firm in my mind until Fingon's death. Also, any healthy version of Maedhros/Maglor. I ship it, but I want it unhealthy with two very damaged people clinging to the only person they have left.

Celebrimbor/Maglor. This only became a NOTP because it is strangely popular and I just don't get it. Plus, I really don't like Maglor.

Celeborn and Galadriel paired with anyone but each other (except I'm okay with Sauron being attracted to her as long as it is one-sided). They are a firm OTP for me and I can't see either of them loving anyone else.

Celebrimbor/Maglor is something that happens? I feel like I need to ask if people who ship that remember they're uncle and nephew, but I really have no right to nitpick because I have no problem with incest ships, including at least one Uncle/Nephew pairing and pseudo-Aunt/Nephew pairing between OCs.

Any ship with Stiles. IDEK why, I just can't ship him. Also older male M/F and M/M relationships.

I really really do not like older!M/younger!F relationships. I mean I don't like age gaps in general but that is my least favorite subcategory.

I looked at this thread and thought there's not a lot that makes me outright hate a ship, but that might be one of them - at least, it's a squick.

Joker/literally anyone (yes even Harley)

any parent/child incest ship

My biggest is when one character (usually the guy) asks another character out in canon (usually the girl) and they say no. So Kanan/Hera and Dipper/Wendy and... crud, that Green Lantern movie, him and the girl? The scene where he keeps asking her to dance and she keeps saying no over and over then it cuts to them dancing just hit all kinds of NO.

Weirdly I don't have any squick if they're flat out enemies as long as romance isn't brought into the picture.

My ownly two NOtps are Mikasa/Eren from SNK and Jamie/Layla from X-Factor. I do see some similiarties between them. Mostly because Mikasa and Layla's only motivations are being with the person that they love. Like neither get to have anything more than that. They get to be completely defined by their love interest.

All sibling incest ships especially twincest.

In twenty-plus years of shipping, I've pretty much only had MEHtps. Like, eh, not my thing, whatever. Some abusive ships squicked me out, but nothing made me go "that. That pairing. I fucking hate that pairing WTF they're fucking awful together" like Captain Swan aka Emma/Hook. And I don't really ship Hook with anyone and I'm an Emma multishipper who prefers her single.

*mutters* I still can't believe one of the writers/showrunners said "I love that look. She's (Emma's) saying 'no,' but she means 'try harder." ... I feel slimy just typing that.

Master/Padawan, and any similar power imbalance. It's not just the age difference or power levels, it is how one person is basically directly responsible for the other person. Makes me nope the heck out of there.

There tend to be certain characters for me that I can't stand, so if they're in a pairing, it becomes a NOtp for me. The ones who I can think of straight off include Thranduil, Gimli, Tauriel, Sauron, Irenicus, Hojo, Solas, and since the Hobbit movies Legolas is as well.
