One of the saddest things is that I like a good in depth discussion on how media and society interact and what messages are chosen to be pushed. And how little things, like the Bechdel Test, point out tropes that are just so common they go unnoticed.

And this Critique Culture has killed that because the minute you pull out something like "I wonder what happened in Race to the Edge, did they change writing staff? Because last season Astrid, Ruffnut, and Heather featured prominently and nearly every episode passed the Bechdel test and then this season they were background scenery." It's a screaming match of "Stop sucking the fun out of it and just enjoy the show!" and "That's horrible we need to tweet death threats to the producers! How dare they! Lets make lists of transgressions!"
