It's not just you.

These past few years everything by BBC has been really cold, tonally. Even when the cast and plot are excellent, something about the production just transforms it into something slightly unlikable. It's confusing because every time I watch something, I can't pinpoint why I can't like it (because in theory I should like it), and ultimately don't have a burning need to continue watching.
