I suggested Dworkin, and tbh I wasn't expecting my suggestion to be taken seriously but I'm happy that it was. I've been reading Dworkin lately, and found that she's not the caricature she's been made out to be. I think the reason she has such a bad reputation is because she said a lot of things that have been taken out of context and misinterpreted. (For example; she NEVER said "all sex is rape".)

LOL, this plot twist! I kinda love how unpredictable the polls always are.

But you have to know that this is Book Club. We take everything seriously.

Maybe it's because I remember seeing her in print and on TV a lot, but I don't think of her as a caricature. She worked hard for her bad reputation and revelled in it. I've long wondered if she didn't do it all to give real feminists as a whole a better reputation.

Fuck off. She WAS a real feminist. She worked very, very hard to spread awareness of the plight of victims of abuse and human trafficking, which is more than most modern so-called feminists have ever done.

LOL Ok I'll fuck off. I was hoping for intelligent discussion but obviously you aren't capable of that.

Anyone who dismisses someone like Andrea Dworkin as "not a real feminist" because they disagree with some of her views is not worth engaging in intelligent discussion.
