That's a totally fair position to take, but it's not really something that's unique to sports. Rapists are also pretty endemic in film, and politics, and music, and uh... pretty much all aspects of society.

Compared to film, and politics, and music, as you listed them.

High concentration of college aged males, heavy focus on masculinity worship and testosterone, plus the opportunities colleges give to these men to sexually assault women without punishment, and it's just a perfect storm of the worst parts of all those fields you mentioned.
