My husband is my best friend.
I like my husband's parents but have nothing to do with his siblings or my own.

I love my fiancé's siblings and my bro but have p much given up on their parents and mine.

I think its cool that you have some of the other family members of your generation in your life! I wish we did, tbh. We lost our son and my nieces and nephews aren't in our lives, so I feel like we're really missing out. I also worry that when we start losing our parents that there will be arguing or that once all of our parents are gone that none of us will make contact ever again and that just makes me really sad. But there's just too much anger and resentment between all the various siblings still for any hope of amends in the foreseeable future.
