I am so over summer. It's mid-September, and it's supposed to be mid-to-upper 80s F (upper 20s C) here all next week. I've fucking had it. I'm sick of the heat, and I'm sick of my worn out sandals, and I'm sick of wearing the same old summer clothes and having them all wrinkled and sticky at the end of the day, and I'm sick of not being able to wear a goddamned sweater or boots outside. WAHHHHHH.

Today I said "it's gonna be really cool this week!!" upon seeing that the highest expected temperature this week is 88F (the lowest was like 78F). I realized what I'd said and died a little inside.

I'm the opposite. I'm never truly ready for fall, and have gotten sad that it's no longer super warm outside every day. We'll probably have one more warm stretch but...maybe only one. :/

I was in a cold building yesterday (yes, I was wearing layers) and wanted to go outside for a minute to warm up and it wasn't any warmer outside and that made me really sad.

Sweaters and boots are cute but they're so much hassle.

And various things going on my life made this summer stressful and I wasn't able to enjoy it to the extent I usually do. So yeah I might be a little bitter about that. Here's to another 8 months of icy weather ugh

I HEAR YOU. I'm from a place that's more known for being ridiculously cold in the winter than hot, so everyone dreads when it starts to get cold... but I don't care, 90+ degree whether can fuck right off. I'm so ready for fall weather.

As the flipside to the post above (although I would love it if we could go from mid 90s to, like, 70s. That would be nice), I am so sick of every five minutes on tumblr seeing some post that's like "Rest of the world: I'm so sad summer is ending! Me: I AM SO EXCITED FOR FALL."

Loving fall is not a minority viewpoint, you are not unique or special. Especially on tumblr, which I am pretty sure is funded by the Pumpkin Spice lobby.

THIS. I'd blacklist "fall" if it didn't have so many other meanings (I did blacklist "autumn," but I think people use "fall" more often).

I also hate fall and when people talk about cool weather like it's a good thing. I'm uncomfortable when it's the slightest bit cool, which is why I actually prefer winter, when at least it's not seen as weird to wear a million layers to try and keep warm.

I make character aesthetic boards on Pinterest and I hate it when someone comes in a pins like 2/3 of what I have for the same exact character and than they don't even bother following me.

Yeah, it feels rude to repin more than about 4-5 pins from someone's boards. It's not like the pins belong to them, but they did take care in curating them. I will repin without following, though, because sometimes only a minority of the board is to my tastes.

My best friend put an embargo on anyone posting her wedding pics to social media before she and her husband did, which I totally get, except that they got the pictures three months ago and I have a WEALTH of profile picture opportunities that are going wasted because she keeps forgetting to put them up.

I've been wanting really gooey mac and cheese made with this one recipe for the past two months, but haven't been able to make it.

I tried to make it yesterday, TWICE, and due to a series of unfortunate events it got ruined both times.

Now see, I hate that it is almost fall (people need to fuck off with the idea that it starts Sep.1. It doesn't.) I hate it because it means back to work. It means shorter days. It means getting colder and I hate being cold. Worst of all, it means that winter is coming. I hate snow and cold and ice. That said it has been way too humid the last week but I'd rather that than being cold.

*mutters about books where the .epub file is weirdly formatted, the .pdf file just looks ugly (and you have to go to great lengths to get it to use the cover image because for some reason you can’t change that on books), and those are your only options because the iTunes store doesn’t have them and thus cannot take your money*

*mutters even more about books that aren't on iTunes or the internet and you can't fucking get them anywhere what is this madness*

I'm forced to ask customers how they're doing at work and I hate when they ask it back because I hate talking early in the morning and they don't give a shit how I'm doing and I don't give a shit how they're doing either. I have to ask, not an option on my part. I'm supposed to answer great or w/e and I don't care any more and just say fine. If I could get away with saying tired, I'd be happy. But nope, god forbid our customers leave feeling pity for us.

This is the second time my SO has brought his knitting into the living room. We have a strict no yarn/thread in the living room policy because cats. And both times I've told him not to, and both times he's sworn he's going to watch it and not leave it unattended. And both times he's left it alone and wandered off and the cats have gotten into it. And then he's mad because the cats have chewed up his project.

THAT'S WHY WE HAVE A CRAFT ROOM. So you can knit without the cats eating it. That's why you have a TV set up in the craft room, so you can sit and watch TV and knit without bringing the yarn into the living room.

I just can't comprehend why he keeps insisting that he wants to knit in the living room and then gets mad and sulks for hours when the cats ruin it.

If he tries it a third time I'm just throwing whatever project it is in the trash.
