Totally agree. The entire core cast of the 1985 version is pitch-perfect.

AYRT - Honestly, Anne's probably the easiest one to get over, just because most of us were Anne in our heads at one point or another. The rest of the cast imprinted harder, because in a way they were our supporting cast too.

I agree, they'll be a hard act to follow. I can't think of a single casting choice for any of the significant characters that didn't feel dead on.
