Hugo.

It's a movie about early movies, it's a fictionalized (I'm guessing) story about Georges Méliès - the man who made A Trip to the Moon. How there is a magic and imagination in both watching and creating film.

And it's such a beautiful movie period. I really have to pick up a physical copy one day.

Have you read the book? Honestly, I felt the same way going in to the movie. I went in not knowing anything but the movie was so well done!

The book is The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick and it's a sort of graphic novel/middle grade crossover book. It's lots of picture but really lovely. I think you'd enjoy it.

I saw it so much in bookstores but I Never read very far into it. I think I will one day, it seems like a really cool thing to own.

Try your library! That's how I ended up reading it.

I know Books of Wonder in NYC sells signed copies of it, if you want a special edition.

I think that is so underrated among Scorsese's movies.
