Re: What movie left you in awe/amazement?
It's a movie about early movies, it's a fictionalized (I'm guessing) story about Georges Méliès - the man who made A Trip to the Moon. How there is a magic and imagination in both watching and creating film.
And it's such a beautiful movie period. I really have to pick up a physical copy one day.

The book is The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick and it's a sort of graphic novel/middle grade crossover book. It's lots of picture but really lovely. I think you'd enjoy it.

I know Books of Wonder in NYC sells signed copies of it, if you want a special edition.
