Re: Fandoms you used to love and now actively dislike

FMA, to some extent. I hated the end of the manga so much that it soured me terribly on everything. It's been a few years now, and I'm not as broken up about it, but I haven't been able to bring myself to read the manga again, or watch the anime.
I used to list FMA as one of the best anime out there and rec it everywhere, but nowadays it's hard to bring myself to, even though the series is actually quality. So I might suggest it, but my heart's not in it, if that makes sense.

I didn't hate the manga, I hated the ending of the manga.
To me it felt like it was straining to paste "happy ending" on a situation that really wasn't (for a whole bunch of reasons), and in order to tie up everything neatly I think Arakawa betrayed the mythology of the world. I was left very jarred by it.
