I think it might help if there were some concept of what you mean by grossness here, and how it's not slut-shame-y. Because there tends to be a lot of overlap between those things.

Huh? Don't torture yourself trying to be non-judgmental. Judge her and enjoy it. Judging celebrities is one of life's little pleasures.

What I find hilarious is the kind of people who argue that XYZ is slut shaming aren't even sluts, in fact, they're probably virgins. Real sluts don't care. Just like Miley Cyrus who's laughs while you judge.

I'm not saying you should post mean things on her Instagram account, that's bullying, but FFS you're allowed to have an opinion.

See I at least greatly prefer to Taylor (who there was a secret about yesterday) because at least Miley takes a lot of comments on her in stride. Or seems to. She just takes a "hey publicity is publicity" approach and doesn't get all worked up that people are criticizing the stage persona she puts forth. She just does her job which is entertainment.

Dang it, I can't get over how her "sexy" tongue thing reminds me of the pony I had as a child (no, really-- envy me if you like) and how when you bridled him he'd spend the first couple of minutes trying to spit the bit from his mouth.

I'm not a huge fan of her on-stage personality. It's not because it's sexualized; it's because she's trying to be gross and crass, not sexual, in my opinion. I prefer it to be a bit more toned down and no so childish.

But I would never tell her to stop; I just don't go see her in concert.

Now, off-stage, such as in interviews, I think she's a pretty awesome person. Not that she hasn't had mis-steps; we all have, but overall, I like her.

The thing that really bothers me about her, the ONLY thing, is that her tongue seems to be frequently coated and she is in need of a tongue-scraper, especially if she's going to be sticking her tongue out! Incredibly dumb, I know, but every time I see her with her tongue out I wonder why no one has shown her the wonderful device that is a tongue-scraper.

Are you referring to the whiteness on her tongue? Because that may not be scrapable. Some people have whiter tongues naturally - and I have a geographic tongue, which means I have white and pink patches on it that shift around every so often. It's not something that can be scraped off.

She kind of grosses me out too. I think she's got some talent as a musician, but I can't tell if what she's doing is because she's comfortable in her own skin or because she's trying to prove something ("I'm not that Hannah Montana chick anymore! I'm a mature woman!"). I have no problem with folks and sexual expression, but she gives the impression that even she doesn't know why she's doing what she's doing. She reminds me of that awkward kid who doesn't know how to fit in, so he tells a bunch of obnoxious jokes and makes aggressive insults while pretending they're funny while everyone in the room is eyerolling or laughing nervously. I know this is judgey. I kind of feel sorry for her though.

I find it pretty gross too ("crass" is a good word to use; it's not that she's sexual specifically but the way she presents herself, with the really tacky nude-tone outfit in the pic, the tongue sticking out etc.; I just don't like it much). But what bothers me about people at large (not you specifically, necessarily) getting on her ass about her performance featured in the pic was almost none of them said anything about Robin Thicke, who I also find pretty crass and was just as sexual as her on stage. There's still a pretty bold double standard.

I don't particularly have any opinion on her besides I did find it gross that she danced to Blurring Lines. Same feeling towards the lead singer of the song (forgot his name), who has a wife and Pharallel.
