What type of work? DO you get damp feet a lot? If you do then you need better shoes that are more watertight. Smelly shoes are usually a consequence of smelly feet than the other way around so I'd suggest some sort of anti-fungal foot powder and changing your socks often to prevent bacteria building up in them. And give the insides of your shoes a good scrub and let them dry totally before putting them back on.
