To eliminate odor:
Mix vodka (or distilled white vinegar) with water, spray into your shoes and let air dry from 30min to a few hours.
I prefer vodka because it's odorless but vinegar loses its smell after a while as long as you don't use too much.

To keep them from becoming smelly, keep them dry. Use foot powder if you have to.

forgot to mention! since it's leather, don't spray the outside of the shoes, concentrate on the soles
