I'm more partial to the Muppet's version, tbh.

Mostly because it rustled Courtney Love's jimmies and anything that trolls her is automatically the best in my eyes.

Haha, did it? That can't be a bad thing. Never heard it, though, I'll have to google it.

SA, OMG, that was brilliant.

I have not heard the Muppets' version of this :D! Must go look it up now.

On a similar note, I remember hearing about how Nirvana greatly enjoyed Weird Al's parody of that song. If I recall rightly, many of the people who appeared in the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" video actually also appeared in Weird Al's video. Which is pretty cool :).

I'm partial to the Weird Al version myself. The video is gold.

+1 to Weird Al. It may be considered heresy, but that is my favourite version. And the video is hysterical.

"sing distinctly, we don't wanna - buy our album, we're Nirvana!"

Thirded. Weird Al's gargling in the middle of the song is epic.

Lol, Love told TMZ earlier this week that the Muppet version of the song "raped" the memory of her husband and that "Teen Spirit" had been used without her permission.

OTT reaction there.

lol I'm pretty sure the members of the band have first claim of the song than the widow of the lead singer, and considering they're both very much alive, Courtney Love can shut up.

SA

Not to mention Dave Grohl -who had a cameo in the movie- was totally fine with how the song was used, too.

Dave Grohl is pretty cool guy.

I also find it funny in that 90's documentary NatGeo did, Courtney Love said Kurt was probably getting off to how famous he was because she would if she were that famous. Considering the way he self-destructed under the spotlight, I highly doubt he did.
