I know, isn't it hilarious and wrong? That grunge, metal, and punk is now "the music old people listen to."

god I'm old.

Punk has to be at least 40 years old by now!

I sometimes think about what it'd be like if I ever have kids and they're first discovering music from my generation. What'll they think of it? Will it sound as "old" to them as stuff from the '50s does to me ('cause who knows what kinds of new musical technologies will continue to change how music sounds)? Will they have a period of "getting into the classics" the way teenagers used to go through discovering the Beatles and Stones and Zeppelin and whatnot?

Be kinda interesting to see how that'd play out.

I won't ever have kids but I plan to do this with my nephews, once they're old enough to understand music. Particularly since I feel like my brother-in-law is going to try to get them to believe that modern country is the shit.

LOL, ooh, yes, same here :p. My sister's into a lot of that modern country stuff, too, so I totally understand that :p.
