Speaking as a Reylo shipper, I bowed out of most online fandom because of all the drama around the ship.

There's nastiness all over TFA fandom and it got to be too much for me.

Agreed. I dabbled a bit in Stormpilot and Kylux and got the hell out of the tags (and completely out of Stormpilot shipping) when the really big wank waves started hitting.

another stormpilot shipper here and i did the same thing, which makes me sad because i thought i'd found a cute ship to enjoy but it all went sour so quickly.

Plenty of Reylo fans are also SJ tumblrites who just use the same type of lazy excuses and justifications to hate on ships they don't like (like "OMG RACISM" for Stormpilot and Kylux both etc.). So "SJ tumblrites hate this, it must hit my kinks" could go any which way in this fandom.

Are you talking about anti-Reylo fandom? Just about everyone I know in the Reylo fandom (that are into m/m ships) loves Stormpilot. And if they dislike Kylux its because of the rampant hypocrisy of some of the shippers.

No, seen quite a few of the "don't you dare ship Stormpilot any other way than I deem acceptable" on the (no less hypocritical, if anything more) Reylo side.
And the Reylos who aren't big on m/m are not rarely raging homophobes (like the idiot who kept annoying Pablo Hidalgo).

Huh. Haven't seen the Stormpilot problems you have, probably because I ship it from the outskirts of fandom. I know the Stormpilot fandom had turned on their own for being "problematic," unfortunately.

That homophobe was roundly called out by Reylo shippers, but she would block anyone who asked her to stop shitting on Kylux and harassing Pablo. So. :/
