nayrt but my grandma is in a home, because she is literally at constant risk of falling and breaking bones, or dying. She is not mentally capable enough to take care of herself, and we work, we don't have the time - or, for that matter, a house safe enough for her to be in (just to get inside you have to walk up stairs). I don't think you should judge the idea of putting the elderly in homes where they can be cared for by people whose job it is to care for them. I mean, we shouldn't shut up our old folks and abandon them, obviously - we see our grandma several times a week - but a nursing home is absolutely the perfect place for her to be.
