Evolution gave us redundant teeth that drive themselves into useful teeth. Sometimes evolution fucks up.

Actually, no. That is just one part of evolution lagging behind another. In this case, human's jaws/mouths have been getting smaller and smaller while all the teeth are still coming in. BUT! More and more people are being born without their wisdom teeth. So evolution is catching up.

Evolution lagging is evolution fucking up.

nayrt but no. Evolution doesn't "fuck up". It is a constant state of adaptation, and by definition of how evolution works, it takes time.

Source on more and more people being born without third molars.

My mother and brother don't have them, so I know it happens, but there's little evolitionary pressure to bring about the change since they don't cause serious problems until after people are of reproductive age (so they have babies and pass on their genes before dying of wisdom tooth-related problems) and these days, people with access to modern demntal care just get them removed and go on to pop out more wisdom tooth babies.

evolution doesn't work like that unless you believe somehow that people born without wisdom teeth are getting laid more often

They totally do though.
