Ehhhh

It's true that it's mostly interviews and panels and stuff. At the same time, IIRC, it's specifically interviews with the showrunner, not just some random schmucks, and it's not like there has been a lot of wiggle room or shades of grey in the things he's said about it. It was pretty unequivocally stated.
