Anybody else still play Skyrim?

(Anonymous) 2016-09-20 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)I love making a new build and often don't get more than halfway through the main quest line before making a new one. The only thing I don't love is getting overburdened by two steel ingots and 50 carrots and so needing to bring Lydia along so she can push me off high walkways and block every doorway in Tamriel.
Re: Anybody else still play Skyrim?
Maiq is awesome.
I use a carryweight mod but I guess that's not option on console :(

I love how hostile Morrowind is, with the outlandishly racist Dunmer, murderous daedra worshippers, creepy blighted creatures, cliff racers around every corner. And I love how genteel Cyrodiil seems in Oblivion, hiding it's depth underneath a veneer of fluffy fantasy./
Re: Anybody else still play Skyrim?
Oblivion was more playable, but I found it to be kind of bland slurry in terms of visuals and overall vibe -- borrowed too much from Lord of the Rings. Skyrim I think nailed what I was looking for out of the series.
Re: Anybody else still play Skyrim?
Oblivion is hilariously bland, but I really love some of the questlines so I suffer through. Plus, my Oblivion Altmer mage is also my Skyrim Altmer Stormcloak, so it adds some personal continuity.

I still go back to it periodically. It's such a beautiful and immersive game. <3
Re: Anybody else still play Skyrim?
Since installing my dog in the game I'm worried she'll die so I don't play. Even though I made her immortal.
Re: Anybody else still play Skyrim?
Anyway, I really like using Skyrim and Oblivion to develop characters that I use in my original stories. I'm thinking of writing a series with all of my favorites in an urban fantasy setting where they form a sort of lesbian mafia that's mostly devoted to killing/robbing other bad guys for fun, profit and their own sense of justice.

Re: Anybody else still play Skyrim?
My next character (after finishing all the Thief content) will probably be a guard in a Khajiit caravan.
I actually just finished my achievement list a month or so ago (again, thanks to LAL, letting me start as a vampire, thus making the Vamp perks easier to get started on).

(Anonymous) 2016-09-21 05:47 am (UTC)(link)I love how easy it is to mod Skyrim, and how many mods there are, and how much variation there is. It's great.
