I made old fashioned donuts! I didn't think they would be bad but I didn't think I'd actually get that "old fashioned" donut look! They were delicious.

They are a bit 'cakier' than regular donuts. They also have the crispy edges you can break off.

They usually look like the below. You can break off the outside bits (that are usually a bit crunchier as well). They are my favorite kind.

This one! https://www.chefsteps.com/activities/old-fashioned-donuts They were great. If you want the traditional ring around the center, score the donut around the hole. Otherwise, they will get the torn edges but it won't be as defined as from a shop.
